ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON
RULES OF PROBATE PROCEDURE
The Advisory Committee on the Rules of Probate Procedure is the committee which recommends to the Vermont Supreme Court changes to the Probate Rules.  The committee addresses suggestions for changes, as well as problems which arise in the procedural rules by which the Probate Courts of the State operate. 

The twelve members of the committee include Judges, Registrars, Attorneys and lay persons.  The Supreme Court designates the chair of the committee. The Supreme Court also appoints a lawyer to serve as reporter for the committee. The reporter revises or drafts rules at the request of the committee or the Supreme Court. The reporter's notes, which are published in the Rules, explain the history and application of the Rules.
