COMMITTEE |
| The 11 member committee oversees all computer system development. It
plays the central role in setting priorities for the use of information
technology throughout the Judiciary including personal computers and
applications, network infrastructure and security, the trial court case
management system and other court applications, and the development of new
technologies such as electronic filing and access to electronic records. In the fall of 1998, the Committee developed, and the Supreme Court adopted, a vision of the use of technology in the Judiciary. [Hypertext to Technology Report]. The primary components are:
Since then a large number of projects have been undertaken to pursue these goals, including replacement of dumb terminals with personal computers and developing a statewide support system, implementing a computer network throughout the Judiciary, the development of a data warehouse, an electronic case file pilot project, and ongoing efforts to coordinate the integration of criminal justice information systems.
