PRESS RELEASE

RESULTS OF THE FEBRUARY 2002 BAR EXAMINATION

There were 42 candidates for admission who sat for all or part of the Bar Examination held on February 27^th and 28^th in Burlington, Vermont.

29 or 69 % have succeeded in passing both the Essay Examination and the Multistate Examination portions.*

38 candidates sat for the Essay Examination given on February 28^th. 29 or 78 % passed that examination portion.

22 candidates sat for the Multistate Examination in Vermont, given on February 27^th. 15 or 68% passed that examination.

A list of the candidates who have now passed both portions (Essay and Multistate Examinations) of the Bar Examination is attached.

* Certain applicants had previously certified Essay or MBE scores. These are only reflected in the overall pass rate.
