PURPOSE:

This position involves specialized clerical work of a responsible nature, involving clerical assistance in one or more trial court dockets and customer service work within the court's jurisdictions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

$ Processes statewide traffic ticket, municipal ordnance, fish and game, and tobacco complaints.

$ Requires dealing with the public by telephone and at the counter.

$ Receives and enters payments

$ Handles mail.

$ Responsibilities for court recording and for the various dockets from the date of filing to the various stages involved in reaching a final judgment.

$ Enters dispositions of hearings.

$ Requires working independently as well as participate in group efforts

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

$ Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOBS SKILLS & ABILITIES:

(Required to perform the essential functions of the job.)

Education: High school graduation

Experience: Two years of general clerical work. College training may be substituted for the experience on a semester for six months basis.

Special Requirement: Ability to type at a corrected rate of thirty-five words per minute.
