amended subdivision approval that the New Haven Zoning Board of Adjustment

     siting of the State Police barracks and related facilities will not
     materially degrade the safety of this section of Route 7.<span

     style=3D'mso-bidi-font-style:italic'>uncontroverted</span> testimony =
was
     that safety on Route 7 may increase due to the proximity of the propo=
sed
     State Police facilities.</li>

     project area as mostly in the highway commercial (HC) district, which=

     generally identified in this neighborhood as being 1,000 feet from the

sed
structures do not exceed the applicable height, size, or setback
restrictions.<span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'>&nbsp; </span>The site has b=

designed with sufficient landscaping, building color tones, and off-street
parking so as to minimize the impact to the surrounding neighborhood.<span
