9/24/13cf: New doc popup message - OK.
9/23/13cf: GF- The issue I raised of discrepancy in the appearance of the two messages below is now a moot point. However, there is still the issue about the Document popup message. First, we use the term “group”, not “category” in the document context. (Down the road when Rick and I are gone, the term “category” will be confusing to the lucky souls who have stepped into our shoes.)
Second, the message that a “duplicate category exists” – if category is intended to mean the same as doc GROUP, then I think the message is meaningless because doc groups are expected to contain multiple doc types. Since the message is supposed to convey that a duplicate of this particular combination of group/type already exists, could it state “A document of this Group/Type already exists. Duplicates are not allowed.”
9/22/13gf: This was a deployment/configuration issue on our part. Please re-test.
9/20/18cf: One of our issues is the desire for consistency. Rick, does the difference in popup types make any difference? I did not address the fact that the document popup uses the term “category” instead of group but I don’t know if I should press the issue. I didn’t raise it yesterday. And speaking of that, I don’t think the popup message is accurate because you can create multiple documents within one category. (Changing the category wouldn’t address the problem necessarily.)
9/18/13cf: There are popup warning sfor both duplicate case and doc types, but they look different. Why is that? See attachment.
