Biography:

Mediation provides a compassionate process to resolve uniquely sensitive conflict. Mediation extends an opportunity for parties to resolve disputes peacefully while preserving individual dignity.

Arvin is a certified mediator with over 10 years’ experience.  Arvin has worked as certified divorce and family mediator in New Hampshire as well as in Vermont.  She has experience in other areas of mediation, such as small claims, landlord/tenant mediation, and property disputes. Her current practice focuses on family issues of separation, divorce and parenting matters. Arvin teaches the Vermont Judiciary’s “Coping with Separation and Divorce: A Program for Parents” course. Arvin has experience in Community Justice as well past service with the Brattleboro Community Justice Center, where restorative practices offered balanced solutions for community and family concerns.

Education:

Arvin obtained a B.A. of science from the University of Massachusetts and her Massachusetts Teachers’ Certification from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts before she received her J.D. from Vermont Law School, where she focused her education on mediation and restorative justice. Arvin received her mediation training in Cambridge, Massachusetts and completed her Divorce and Family Mediation training in Vermont and New Hampshire. Arvin is a member of the Vermont Family Mediators (VFaM).
