Be Alert for Potential Jury Scams

The Judiciary has received several calls recently from people concerned about a potential jury scam. Reports indicate that a person is calling and saying he is from the Sheriff’s Office, mentioning specific Vermont judges, and telling people they failed to appear for jury service and need to pay a large fine. If you receive one of these phone calls please report it to your local sheriff’s office. Thank you.
